You don’t need to know how to pose your baby. You don’t need to bring a studio full of props. And you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out.
Before your session, Elise shares preparation tips and helps with styling. During your session, there is time for feeding, soothing and the unpredictable moments that come with newborns. The goal is beautiful photographs—and an experience that feels easy.

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
Questions new parents ask.
When should I book my newborn session?
Most clients book 2–3 months in advance. Last-minute openings can sometimes be accommodated, so reach out even if your baby has already arrived.
Where are newborn sessions held?
Traditional posed newborn sessions are held in the Midlothian studio. Lifestyle sessions can take place in your home, and Fresh 48 sessions are available within baby’s first 48 hours.
Do you provide wraps, props and styling?
Yes. Elise provides a growing collection of wraps, backdrops, hats, headbands, baskets, buckets and other styling pieces. You can also share favorite colors or nursery colors after booking.
What if my baby doesn’t cooperate?
That’s completely normal. Newborn sessions are paced around your baby, with time for feeding, soothing and breaks. The goal is never to rush through the moments that matter.
